| God put this in my mind (and I put it on paper) a while back, but I'm recording it here for posterity...or something like that. Story: I was chewing a big wad of that pink bubblegum at prayer time at Judy's house, and I kept it in too long.
"Sin is like bubblegum. It tastes sweet for a few minutes, but the longer you chew it, it loses flavor, and then it really starts to taste bad. The bigger the wad, the worse it is in the end. But the tendency is to keep chewing. It's trouble to spit it out."

| Today I realized that God is a remarkably good friend.
I can't exactly remember my train of thought that got me there, except I know it wasn't about any person in specific. It was just one of those "Hey, here's something to think about" moments. Anyway, here goes:
We're all human, and we all learn stuff about life and whatever at different paces. So, naturally, you've been in a position where you're pretty far past the struggles of some person you're talking to. And unless I'm feeling extra ministry-oriented, sometimes it's just easier to find a way out of the conversation--not that I actually do, just saying.
God is infinitely past all of our struggles all the time. He still gladly listens to us.

| "During the times of strongest revival in China, miracles were so commonplace that we didn't even think about them much...When you present the gospel to somebody, it need to come with a demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit." - Brother Yun in Living Water
"And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover." - Jesus in Mark 16
hmm. I think I need a paradigm shift.

| Oswald Chambers: "...that is why there are so few fellow workers with God and so many workers for Him. We would far rather work for God than believe in Him."
It's easy for me to talk about this, but when it comes to acting on listening to God and then working, it is kind of difficult. The topic of late is obeying the Head.

| Hebrews 12:12-14 So take a new grip with your tired hands and stand firm on your shaky legs. Mark out a straight path for your feet. Then those who follow you, though they are weak and lame, will not stumble and fall but will become strong. Try to live in peace with everyone, and seek to live a clean and holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.
There is some really good stuff there. I think I want to memorize it. Anybody else in?
